The hardest guys of the Swedish northlands, Raubtier will be the final band to be touring with Sabaton on the first part of the European World War Tour.
Raubtier´s debutalbum ”Det finns bara krig”/”There is only war” were released last year and we are sure that this will be a fantastic addition to the concerts. So the billing for Northern Scandinavia Tour is as follows.
We can now confirm the second opener who will join the tour in the autumn. We have already confirmed Alestorm as special guests and Steelwing to open the east European part, here comes Thaurorod to open the western part.
From Finland, we can assure anyone that likes Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius that this will fit perfect. Their new album will be released on the same day as we play in Karlstad.
Once again the Belgians proves that they are among the top of the Sabaton fans in the world, and we are totally shocked but of course very happy to announce that the show on the 19´th of October at Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp is now completely sold out. This is 3 months before the concert and it's totally insane.
We had however expected this concert to be sold out and have a plan for such a case, but we never thought we would have to employ it so quickly.
We will add another show at Hof Ter Lo, on the 23´rd of October!
We guess there are a lof of crazy Belgians who will go to both shows so we have printed a special extremely limited, individually numbered and signed single that everyone who can show that he/she went to both shows by bringing the tickets of both concerts to the concert on the 23´rd will get for free. This CD will not be availible ever again and never anywhere else. For sure it will be a true rarity! The setlists for these 2 shows will of course differ as much as possible without making those who attends only one of the shows suffer.

Since were not out on tour this weekend, and have already told you that we are back in Studio Abyss recording, we might aswell tell you that we took the tourbus down to Stockholm for another videoshoot today...

Even though we are constantly flying here and there for festivals during the whole summer we took us time to go to Peter Tägtgren and studio Abyss for a week.
Until now we have not been able to present any sales, and we have also been very excited what the new album will bring Sabaton.

There has been rumors about the show in Wroclaw being cancelled. This is unfortunately true. Due to heavy rain the location for the concert is now under water and its impossible to do the concert.
We are trying to reschedule the concert.
Good news is that even thought there have been rumors about other shows in Poland being cancelled this is not true. Tonight we start our trip towards Poland and we will perform as planned in Malbork and in Warsaw.

After two times postponing the shooting of the music video we can now inform everyone that we spent the last week in Poland recording the musicvideo for the new song Uprising, and what a video this is! We think we can say it is the biggest heavy metal video ever produced.
For 2 days over 200 people worked around the clock on the set shooting scenes including over 100 actors that were directed by Jacek Raginis and produced by Bogna Janiec of Studio Filmowe N production company.
Production was supported by first assistant directors Michal Ozi Ozierow and Jacek Spychala and chiefs of reenacting groups Tomasz Karasinski (Radoslaw 44) and Marek Łukasik (Pomerania).
The musicvideo includes also famous actors as Peter Stormare [Sweden, US] and Mateusz Damięcki [Poland], Monika Buchowiec and also featured a special appearance by General Waldemar Skrzypczak of the Polish army.
The premiere show of the new video is scheduled to be on the 1´st of August which is the anniversary of the start of The Warsaw Uprising in 1944.
A big thanks to everyone involved in this project and special thanks to SKOK Group and its producer Mariusz Wielebski, who made this video possible.

We have already confirmed Alestorm to join us on the World War tour. Now we are really happy to announce that Swedish metallers Steelwing who just released their debut album "Lord of the Wasteland" will be the opening act.
The band is also confirmed to tour with Blind Guardian in the autumn and will be opening on the second part of the Sabaton European tour.
This is definitivly a band to keep your eyes on.

We can now announce that we will be doing more parties, only because we love to party with all of you!
Pär will be on the 16th of May in Klub Rockz in Gdynia to party with the Polish fans and Daniel Mullback will be going to Örebro in Sweden and club Virus on the 14th of May!
Last saturday we fought in the Soccer tournament "Metallsvenskan" and that was about all the sports we will do this year. We fought hard in the football tournament but unlike last year when we made it to second last position we got all the way to the semifinals and ended on third place!

During the evening we had an amazing show and we tried some of our new songs and stageset.
For you who saw the show you know now that it was some cool pyrotechnical effects. That was a warmup and we have now perfected the show even more. On the releaseparty at Rockstad:Falun we will unleash the full power of Unique Pyrotechics on the stage.
SABATON will Headline "Heavy Metal Tel Aviv – The First Pure Heavy Metal Festival In Israel" on August 27th. After the huge success in Israel's 2008 Show and the high record sales, Sabaton will return to Israel to Headline the Fest.
Other Artists in the event will be Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex Judas Priest, Ex Iced Earth and currently Vocalist of Yngwie Malmsteen) and the French Heavy Metal Band "Nightmare" and 5 local Israeli Heavy Metal and Hard Rock Bands: Crossfire, Desert, Sensation Drive, Almana Schora and HC/DC (AC/DC Tribute Band)

We are happy to announce that the recording of our music video for the song "Uprising" has been rescheduled successfully, and that it will take place in Warsaw during this and next week. Out of respect for the Polish mourning period we decided to postpone the video shoot last week, and now we will try again.
The song "Uprising" is a powerful and emotional tribute to those who lost their lives in the Warsaw uprising in 1944, and so shall the video be! This will by far be the biggest Sabaton video production ever, and dare we say: One of the biggest in heavy metal?
The video will feature Peter Stormare as SS-Obergruppenführer von dem Bach and will be directed by Jacek Raginis (related to decorated ww2 hero Wladyslav Raginis).
